Overview

Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1, thymalfasin) is a 28-amino-acid N-terminally acetylated peptide derived from prothymosin alpha, originally isolated from thymic tissue. It is one of the most-studied immunomodulatory peptides, researched for its effects on T-cell maturation, dendritic-cell signalling, and innate/adaptive immune balance, with the synthetic version marketed as thymalfasin in several countries.
