The small set of cookies this API-documentation site uses, why they exist, and how to control them.
Effective date: May 16, 2026
Vialdyne's site exists to put API documentation in front of compounding pharmacies, outsourcing facilities, and distributors — not to track an audience. We therefore keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the Site and, only with your consent, to measure traffic in aggregate. There is no advertising, no retargeting, and no social-media pixel on this Site.
A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device so it can recognise it on return visits, remember a preference, keep your session secure, and — where permitted — understand usage. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, web beacons, pixel tags) do comparable jobs and are covered here. Some cookies are set by us (first-party); the few third-party ones are all listed below with their provider and purpose.
By default the Site loads only strictly-necessary and functional cookies; anything else is opt-in.
Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work: secure routing, session integrity, language detection, and remembering that you dismissed the announcement bar. These cannot be switched off through our controls because the Site depends on them.
Functional — remember preferences such as locale so the Site behaves consistently between visits. Helpful but not essential.
Analytics — help us see how the Site is used in aggregate. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP truncation (anonymize_ip), no personal identifiers, and advertising features disabled, alongside cookieless Vercel Analytics. You can block both in your browser.
Marketing / advertising — none are set. We run no advertising or retargeting on this Site. Were that ever to change, this Policy would be updated and a consent banner shown before any marketing tag loaded.
The table below lists every cookie and similar technology in use on the Site today, including names that may appear only if you opt in to analytics. We refresh it whenever we change a provider or add or remove a tag.
| Cookie / key | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vialdyne_announcement_dismissed | Vialdyne (first-party) | Remembers that you have dismissed the top announcement bar. | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| vialdyne_locale | Vialdyne (first-party) | Remembers your preferred language when multi-language is enabled. | 1 year | Functional |
| _vercel_* | Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) | Edge routing, deployment protection, anti-abuse. Cookieless analytics where possible. | Session up to 1 year (varies by sub-cookie) | Strictly necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA) | Aggregate visitor counts, sessions, traffic sources, and engagement events. Anonymized IPs. | Up to 24 months | Analytics |
We refresh this table whenever a provider or tag changes. Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) load only after explicit opt-in.
Strictly-necessary and functional cookies are set without consent because they are essential to operate the Site or to deliver something you have asked for (such as remembering your language).
Analytics and any future marketing cookies load only after you give affirmative, opt-in consent through a consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time using the consent-management link in the footer (where shown) or by clearing cookies in your browser.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or jurisdictions with equivalent rules, no analytics cookies load unless you have actively opted in.
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Steps vary; the main help pages are:
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the Site. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies does not affect how the Site works; it only removes you from our aggregate measurement.
If Google Analytics is enabled and you have opted in, you can later opt out using Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by clearing the _ga / _ga_* cookies. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: where your browser sends GPC, no analytics or marketing cookies are set even after consent.
Some browsers also send a Do-Not-Track (DNT) signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to DNT, but we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and marketing cookies, consistent with current best practice.
We update this Policy when we add or remove cookies, change a provider, or respond to a regulatory change; the Effective Date above always reflects the latest revision. Questions about our use of cookies: info@vialdyne.com with the subject "Cookies".
