Overview

LL-37 is the sole human cathelicidin-derived antimicrobial peptide, a 37-residue amphipathic helix released from the hCAP18 precursor. Beyond broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity it is studied as an immunomodulatory and wound-healing peptide, with research lines spanning innate immunity, chemotaxis, angiogenesis, and host-defence biology. Vialdyne releases lyophilised LL-37 to a ≥99.0% HPLC main-peak specification. Because LL-37 is a long, cationic, aggregation-prone sequence, the batch COA pairs RP-HPLC purity with ESI-MS identity; peptide-content assay, water (Karl Fischer), counter-ion, residual solvents and endotoxin are available on request and listed on the COA when tested, and full LC-MS/MS sequence confirmation is the recommended add-on when qualifying the peptide as a new reference standard.
